To support key clinical initiatives, we established a Dental Advisory Board (DAB) to provide guidance and promote consistent clinical practices across LDP-affiliated offices.

Dental Advisory Board: Supporting Patient Care

The Dental Advisory Board (DAB) helps ensure that patient care is a central focus of LDP’s organizational mission. Comprised of experienced general dentists, specialists, and hygienists from practices across Illinois, the DAB acts as a bridge between frontline clinical staff and the LDP Leadership Team.

Leadership and Collaboration

Led by regional clinical leaders, including Dr. Sima Patel and VP of Clinical Services, Melissa Sobiesk, the DAB provides guidance on clinical operations and best practices. Executive sponsors, including CEO Nilesh Patel, Executive Chairman Sima Patel, and SVP of Operations Melissa Sobiesk, participate in meetings to support collaboration between clinical and administrative leadership.

Scope of Responsibilities

The DAB’s responsibilities focus on initiatives that support clinical standards and staff development:

• Continuing Education (CE) Program Development – Supporting ongoing professional development for dentists and hygienists.

• Medical Technology Assessment – Evaluating innovations for potential implementation.

• Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Programs – Facilitating knowledge exchange and professional growth.

• Hygiene Program Goals and Clinical KPIs – Monitoring practices to maintain consistent standards.

• Doctor and RDH Recruiting & Retention – Assisting with the hiring and onboarding of clinical staff.

Collaborative Decision-Making

Through quarterly meetings, the DAB provides a platform for knowledge sharing, discussion, and collaborative planning. The board’s input helps guide organizational policies and clinical processes across all LDP-affiliated practices, supporting the ongoing development of operational and clinical initiatives.
